6H

Welcome to Class 6H :)
Our spring 1 topic Is ‘Coast to Country’. We will be looking at the River Mersey and the local area. Our book this half term is Shackleton’s Journey, which is all about exploration and endurance.

Some important notes:

  • You are expected to read for pleasure every night and get your reading records signed at least 4 times a week and to use First News online. I will check the reading records every Tuesday.
  • You must learn and practise your times tables and corresponding division facts up to 12 x 12  and practise your spelling words from the Year 5 and 6 Statutory Spelling list every week.
  • Homework will be given out every Thursday and needs to be handed in no later than Tuesday of the following week.
  • New spellings will be given out weekly and tested the following week.
Parents: Please try to read at home with your child at least 4 times a week. It really does make a massive difference to their progression in reading and other subjects!
