Home School Agreement

 Staff At St Johns will support your child by:

  • Providing a safe, secure and happy environment
  • Being highly motivated, enthusiastic and working hard to achieve the aims and vision of our school

  • Encouraging all children to do their best at all times and to aim for and achieve high standards

  • Providing a fun and stimulating learning environment and creating exciting learning opportunities
  • Informing parents of progress at regular meetings
  • Creating an atmosphere of mutual respect between staff, pupils, parents/carers and wider community

 

Parents will support their child by:

  • Working in partnership with the school community
  • Ensuring that their children arrive at school on time (8.50am) each day and are absent only in unavoidable circumstances (illness, family crisis, authorised holiday)
  • Ensuring children wear the correct uniform
  • Reading with their children at home and Learning their times tables. Make a positive contribution to learning, giving due importance to homework and actively working with their child whenever possible.
  • Attending parent meetings to discuss progress
  • Encouraging children to bring the correct equipment to school
  • Encouraging children to do their best,  become independent, responsible and resilient.
  • Support and reinforce the school’s Behaviour Policy
